Fall Foods & Greedy Glasses

Hey guys! Happy Sunday. I hope that you’ve enjoyed the weekend. Mine was pretty great, actually. The weather was of the perfect fall variety – sunny, crisp, and cool but not cold. I got to do some apple picking today with my good friend Sarah and you better believe we enjoyed some apple cider donuts (which were good, despite the lack of cinnamon sugar coating that we are both used to).

It being fall and all, it is the time to be roasting. Squash, sweet potatoes, apples, you name it. The oven is working overtime. Tonight, I marinated some tofu and chick peas in light soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper and crushed red pepper and then baked them, along with some sweet potato rounds and broccoli for an easy, no fuss dinner. Everything came out great and was delicious topped with a bit of ketchup and mustard.

Please note the somewhat non-descript glass in the background. Well, this glass is my new favorite. It was sent to me by foodbuzz and I can’t seem to put it down. It is made by tervis and is supposed to be indestructible (good since I seem to frequently drop my dishes!). It has a double-wall to prevent sweating and keep drinks hot or cold. In other words, if you come over, you will not be using this tumbler. It is all mine. Sorry in advance. :) Thanks foobuzz and tervis.

Are you guys enjoying fall? Any favorite, “greedy” glasses or mugs in your cupboards? I have a coffee mug that is just the same – for my use only. I have several others that are just as nice and to be used for guests, though, I promise.
