Success!

Hi guys! Happy Tuesday. How goes it? Things are going pretty well here. I had a busy but productive day at work. Its been quiet this week because most of the upper management is at a huge meeting. Its kind of nice.

I started my day off on the right foot by biking in to work. I plan on introducing you guys officially in an upcoming post, but I got a new bike! Its a hybrid which means that its quite a bit lighter and faster than my mountain bike. I have shaved quite a few minutes off of my commute. Plus! Its very pretty and baby blue! :)

Anywho, after showering and getting my coffee, I ate some breakfast. Overnight oatmeal made with 1/3 cup oats, 1 cup unsweetened soy milk, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, cinnamon and vanilla. I topped it off with a bunch of fresh blueberries from the stand. Yum.

Mid-morning, I got a bit hungry and broke into my snack stash – a boiled egg. For some reason, I love them.

Lunch was pizza leftovers. I inhaled my two pieces before remembering to take a picture and so you’re left with this “stock” photo. Hehe. It was very similar – whole wheat crust, one slice red and one slice white – but mine today had thinly sliced zucchini on top. Yum.

Afternoon snack before biking home was a cinnamon roll Larabar. I had this in my cabinet forever and for some reason didn’t have the urge to eat it – it was delicious!

Once I biked home, I got out my mat. I was pretty pumped to do some yoga today and kick off the 21 Day Yoga Challenge. My hamstrings have been feeling quite tight lately. I did an easy 20 minute flow that is one of my favorites – Cosmic Dance. Success for day one of the challenge!

I was interrupted in savasana by a grumbling belly and grabbed a handful of cashews to tide me over while I showered.

For dinner, it was an easy veggie fried rice topped with sriracha (naturally) and some tahini.

And for dessert, I just had some delicious Trader Joe’s dark chocolate. Yum.

How was your day? Anything exciting going on?

I love the days when the boss is away!

Your new bike sounds cool! I want a bike so bad. Where did you get yours? I'm thinking of just getting one from Target. Do you think that's a waste of money though? I don't know how junky their bikes are you know?

Sorry to babble. Have a good day!
