Summer Fun

Hey guys! Happy Monday! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and that my American friends had a great Fourth of July. I was able to take a couple of days off from work (Thursday and Friday) and we have Monday and Tuesday off as holidays so I’m enjoying a nice, long weekend. I was able to head home and visit my family. My Dad is doing really well after his surgery which is great to see. We’ve had some delicious meals, as usual, and have managed to get some fun in too!

The weather has been so summer-like and wonderful that its been hard not to be outside. I’ve taken a couple of runs and long walks and even got on my bike for a long ride with my brother Sam through the Saratoga battlefield. It had been a few years since I was there and its always so beautiful.

I had so much fun on the bike Saturday, that after a quick breakfast of bran flakes with raisins, I headed out again this morning. I was out for about 45 minutes and had a blast seeing how fast I could go (within reason, of course, Mom). I’m definitely going to have to bring my bike back with me to MA.

After my ride, I helped out with some lawn chores (yikes) and took a much needed shower.  Lunch was consumed shortly after – a veggie burger with some honey mustard along with a mixed greens salad and some homemade pasta salad from our Fourth of July feast. Yum.

This afternoon, I spent some time in the AC studying and then went on a ride with my bestie Mel. By the time I got back, it was snack time…

What are you guys up to? Hopefully getting some summer fun in also! Have a great evening!

So glad to hear that your dad is doing well!! And awesome that you were able to have a nice 6 day weekend, woohoo!! :) I had leftover pasta salad from our 4th party for lunch today too! I think it was even better today!! :)

I've been meaning to email you and check in with you. Even though I've been bad and haven't gotten around to it, just know I've been thinking about you and hoping that all is well. It looks like you're doing great!! :)
