Hi Friends! Happy Sunday! I hope that you’ve been having a good weekend! Mine has been quite fun but is going way too quickly. The highlight of my day yesterday was having a couple of our good friends over for dinner and games.
We made a very simple but tasty whole wheat pasta with garlic and veggies along with some sauteed asparagus and a salad with mixed greens, tomatoes and carrots. We also had some great Merlot. :)
We ended up playing Hearts and Scattergories – two of my most very favorite games – into the wee hours of the night.
Dessert was kindly brought by our guests and was an amazing chocolate cream pie that I neglected to get a picture of. It was quite delicious though. Thanks Laxmi and Jason! :)
This morning I was really craving an egg sammich and that’s what I had. While Brian cooked the eggs and soysage, I made us tropical smoothies made with frozen mango, a very ripe nanner and some ice. They came out super thick and delicious.
My breakfast sammich was awesome – two egg whites topped with a soysage patty, hot sauce and a bit of ketchup all on a sandwich thin. Yum. Hit the spot.
Now, we’re just hanging around watching As Good As it Gets. I’m meeting a friend at Panera to do some writing for school, munch and chat around noon so I’m probably going to try and get some exercise in before then.
I hope that you guys have a great day! Thanks for your comments on how you reduce your impact – it was awesome hearing about all that you guys are doing.
Em

How fun!! We don't have friends over nearly as often as we should. They all live in the city and we live in the 'burbs.
Your breakfast sammich sounds great!! I love soysage, haha! I think I like the word even more though, haha!!!!! ;)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! :)
Have a wonderful day!
That sorbet looks so good- my blender doesn't blend without some kind of liquid in it- so lame
