Rock Naan

Hey Guys! Happy October! Happy Emilyday! How goes it? I keep thinking that its Wednesday and squeal with delight when I remember that it indeed is Emilyday! Woo hoo!

This morning, I couldn’t figure out what the heck I wanted for breakfast so I made myself an egg sandwich on two Kashi blueberry waffles.  It got a little soggy on the ride to work but it was still delicious!

Lunch was a spinach salad with bell pepper, carrot, half of a leftover veggie sausage from last night, some hummus and Kashi crackers. Yumtastic.

IMG_1121 Snack number one was a nanner with almond butter.

Snack number two was some Kashi vanilla graham cereal. (I guess it was a Kashi kind of day!

IMG_1125 After work, I had planned on going to pilates at the gym, but I forgot my card and so decided on plan B which was a trip to Tarjay and yoga at home.  My shopping trip was a success, I got a cute new skirt, a sweater and some tights.  Yay for that!

Yoga was another Exercise TV find – 45 minutes of pure struggle.  It was so hard! I liked it, but probably won’t be going back for a while. :)

My friend Mel came over for some dinner and Rock Band after yoga.  I picked up a couple of whole grain naan breads from the grocery store and made us naan pizzas.

I simply heated up some Newman’s Own pasta sauce, steamed some broccoli, crisped up the naan a bit on its own and then topped it with the sauce, some parmesan cheese, the broccoli, some bell pepper slices and red pepper flakes.  I should have taken a picture of it whole, but here is my piece in slices.  Mmm… it was delicious.

IMG_1128 We also enjoyed the last of my birthday wine.  Delicious! Thanks Jake and Em!

IMG_1131 After dinner, it was Rock Band time.  We definitely rocked it hard core.  :)

Now, Brian and I are just relaxing and I’m getting groans because he wants to start The Office (we DVRd it).  I also just finished some delicious dessert – raspberries and blueberries topped with some cookie dough Breyers ice cream (another birthday leftover!).  So good!

IMG_1135 Alright, I’m getting serious puppy dog eyes.  Time to start The Office.  Have a great night my friends!
