We headed off on our little fall road trip adventure. I felt like a little kid sitting in the back and staring quietly out the window. It was lovely. :)

We made our way through Saratoga Springs and to our destination: Lake George!

We stopped to grab some lunch before continuing on with the site seeing because we were all starving. We ended up at a little bakery/deli that touted fresh homemade bread.

I ordered a veggie sandwich on toasted roasted garlic bread. This was delicious! The sandwich had warm portobello mushroom, tomato, lettuce, onion and cucumber with some delicious whole grain mustard. The bread was amazing with huge hunks of roasted garlic in it! Yum. I ate all of the sandwich and none of the chips (they were not wasted, though!).

After lunch, we made our way up to the "Top of the World" Golf Course to check out the views there. We had originally planned on going up Prospect Mountain, but it was super chilly and we weren't really into that. :)
The views of Lake George and the Adirondack Mountains did not disappoint.

After our photo shoot at the golf course, we made our way around the lake to look at some of the amazing houses. It was great.

I was also able to get a picture (kind of) of the steam boat, the Mohican, that does tours around the lake. See the smoke stack?

It was a great road trip overall and I definitely left all smiles. :)

sounds like a great weekend trip, all the photos are gorgeous!
Gorgeous photos, Em!!!!!! Absolutely incredible!! My parents were up in that same area this summer, but I'm sure you just can't be it in the fall. I'm so happy you had such a nice weekend!! :)
That lunch looks fantastic! Totally something I would order.
Thanks for sharing your pictures!! Makes me want to move up there... well, for the fall... and then move back here when the snow comes!! ;)
Looks like a fun time! That place looks beautiful :) Haha. I feel like a lil kid when I sit in the back too
What a fun weekend! Such beautiful scenery.. and that veggie sandwich sounds so good!
Wow, this is nuts... not only do we both live in Boston, but I'm actually originally from Saratoga! I grew up there before I came to Boston to go to college. It's a small world =)
