Misty Monday

I'm really hoping that all of this June rain means that come July, we'll be all blue skies and fluffy clouds. Its getting to be depressing! Anywho, I hope its sunny where you are and that you're having a good start to the week!

Today started out with a yummy bowl of oats - banana and almond butter on top this time. So good.

Lunch will definitely look familiar - I'm loving the ease and protein power of tempeh lately (plus it tastes good!) so that's what I had on some spinach and red bell pepper. I also had some olive sabra hummus and kashi crackers. Quite satisfying! :)

After my daily iced green tea, I had an awesome snack. I picked up a lone nectarine at the grocery store yesterday and topped that with some plain chobani and golean. The nectarine was delicious and I wish that I got more! Yum...

After work, it was time for a workout. I ran a good three miles on the treadmill (it was pouring out, meh) and then walked 1/2 a mile at an incline. After that, I did some good core and tricep exercises.

Brian is still without his car, so we made a quick trip back to my place so that I could pick up some clothes and then stopped to get dinner at our favorite spot in Beverly - Wrapture. The menu is very vegetarian friendly and they use healthy ingredients, including whole wheat wraps and rices. I had an iced, unsweetened jasmine green tea and my usual - the Middle Eastern wrap which contains hummus, tebouleh, falafel, lettuce and some tahini. It was delicious. :)

Brian ordered the grilled veggie burrito which he pretty much inhaled - he was super hungry after his tough bike and strength workout! :)

Now we're just hanging out and that huge cookie pizza is calling my name. I think I'm going to have to have a piece with some tea.

I hope you guys had a great day! Take care!!

Em

I wish I liked tempeh but I ate it when I had the stomach flu and now I can't go near it!
