Success!

Well, after a harrowing drive (there were so many unforeseen obstacles, like a closed bridge and a faulty train crossing gate), I made it to class and am so excited about it. The professor is great, there are ten really interesting and diverse people in the class, and the work/reading seems like its going to be really interesting. I'm so happy that the difficult first day is over and now I can turn my nervous energy into productive/learning energy.

Today was also my brother's first day at his new co-op job (he's a junior at a co-op engineering university) with Fisher Price and it seemed like its going to be great for him. Yay for happy first days! :)

To celebrate the first class, dinner was provided. It was a chef salad type buffet which was fine with me! I had a good amount of lettuce with 3/4 of an egg, 1/2 a slice of cheese, a few croutons, roasted red peppers, onion, and a few green olives. They only had Ken's italian or caesar dressing so I drizzled some italian on. It was a pretty small dinner but I amazingly made it through without my larabar (I did have a diet coke though).

When I got home (earlier than expected thanks to the awesomeness of our professor), I think the nervousness/excitement dissipated into hunger! I made myself a bowl of cereal - bran flakes with low fat milk, raisins, and a bit of butterscotch chips. Yum! I also made myself some decaf black tea with milk in my favorite mug. :)

I hope that you all had great days! It is a very cold one here so I'll definitely be heating up my microwave pillow to cuddle up with in my bed! Sweet dreams!
