Brian still had a bit of work to finish up when I got back so I did ten minutes on the rowing machine. I really like rowing after running, it just rounds out the workout!
I was pretty hungry and had a piece of homemade banana bread in my bag (one of my co-workers brough it in) so I had it on our way to Somerville to meet up with everyone for our Thursday night dinner.

Our friend Jodi (the one who's moving) made homemade sauce that was amazing! She sauteed a good amount of garlic and then combined 2 cans of sauce, 2 cans of chopped tomatoes, and 3 cans of tomato paste. She also added three hot peppers to it which of course, I was a fan of! :) The tomato paste made the sauce so rich tasting. We had it on barilla linguini which was thick and delicious with some freshly shaved parm on top. There was also a great salad with avocado, cherry tomatoes, apple, pear, cucumber and of course lots of lettuce. It was tossed in a homemade olive oil/vinegar dressing. Sorry for the super dark pic!

I did snack on some pita chips with hummus and had a Sam Adams Light while waiting for dinner, but I was proud of my portion control - much more salad and a bit of pasta. It was perfect though - I wasn't too full, as Goldilocks would say, it was JUST RIGHT! Brian made a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and while it looked awesome, I abstained by listening to my belly.
We were really excited to watch The Office and 30 Rock and did even though they were repeats (bummer). Then we somehow ended up watching Save the Last Dance which was hilarious. We all got really into it. During one of the fight scenes, someone exclaimed "What happened!?" to which Brian hilariously commented in near seriousness, "It got real." It was great. :)
This morning I made myself some vanilla soy milk oats with raisins, banana and crunchy Barney Butter. It was quite tasty! I also had a coffee cocoa.

Around 11 I had a small clementine that was really delicious. I'm going to have to pick some up at the store this weekend.

For lunch, I toasted a whole wheat pita and put a bit of hummus and some mixed greens inside along with a bowl of Health Valley Corn, Bean and Vegetable soup. Its really delicious.

I'm so excited that its Friday! I'm planning on meeting up with my running club tomorrow morning at 8 to get some distance in. Tonight, I'm going to go home after work, see about doing some yoga, eat, relax, and get to sleep at a good hour so that I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed. Its funny how Fridays have become my lovely night in.
Hope you all have a great afternoon! Be back later!
