I ended up running on the treadmill for 4 miles. The first mile was 8:30, second 8:00, third 7:45 (first 1/2 mile) and 7:30 (second 1/2 mile) and the last was 8:41. It was a tough run and I definitely felt the speedier miles. I did a flat route at an even .5 % incline the whole time (most running coaches say that accounts for the wind resistance of running outside). After that, I did a tough ten minutes on the rowing machine really pushing it and using my abs. It was great.
I had a graham z bar before going to the gym which was really tasty. I'm enjoying these new-to-me flavors.

I was still really hungry by the time we got to Brian's place so I started on dinner while he ellipticalled away. I decided to use up some fresh gnocchi that Brian had along with broccoli, red bell pepper, garlic, and faux (sounds better than fake) steak strips. I sauteed the "steak" in a skillet until it got nice and brown and then added the red pepper. I steamed the broccoli for a bit and then added it as well. Once the water for the gnocchi was up to a boil, I put the garlic into the skillet and seasoned everything with some lemon juice, red pepper flake, black pepper, salt, basil, and lemon garlic seasoning. Once the gnocchi were done, I threw them into the skillet and stirred well. We topped it off with some grated parm. It was really really tasty and I'm bummed because I snapped a picture but it must not have saved. Brian was in love with it. :)
After dinner we just watched the Office and 30 Rock, both great, and cuddled on the couch. For dessert, I brought us some fun sized chocolate from my stash at work. I had a mini bag of m&ms along with a square of hersheys chocolate. We also had some sleepytime tea.
