Well hello there! Its a snowy day here in Boston - really only the second one of the season! Its certainly pretty out there but its been changing over to rain and is getting increasingly slushy. Yikes!
Last night I did have a veggie egg white flatbread from DD with a small pumpkin spice latte light for dinner.
Brian and I went into Somerville around 7 and I met up for book club at a bar in Davis Square once we got back. It was a great time - we all just ordered diet sodas and a couple of people ordered soup. I felt a bit bad that we spent so much time there but not so much moolah. Oh well. :)
After I got back from book club I was pretty hungry so I had a bowl of plain nonfat chobani with a few bluberries and a spoon of nutella. It was DELISH! :)
Our drive into work this morning took over an hour (its normally about 40 minutes) so that was kind of a bummer. The roads weren't too bad but bad enough that the travel was slowed way down. I was starving in the car and super excited to make breakfast when we got in - oats with chocolate soy milk (YUM), banana and almond butter. It was delicious! I love the chocolate soy milk in there!
I have been absolutely swamped at work and am trying really hard not to get too stressed out. I'm plugging along and making good progress and that is my best and all I can do. I worked pretty diligently and my oatmeal held me over very well until it got close to lunch time. I had a bowl of 14 vegetable soup with a whole wheat pita toasted and filled with a laughing cow wedge. It was really yummy - my coworker Karen told me that it was also a pretty lunch. :)
Well, I should get back to my pile of work! Hopefully I make it to the afternoon!
I made it, but it was crazy! I had a snack around 2:30 when I realized I was pretty hungry! I had honey maid banana bees with a strawberry chobani and a ginger bread tea. It was yummy and hit the spot!
I did more work until around 4:45 and headed out to my car to start de-icing. Brian and I decided to stay at his parents' house since its close and the weather is bad so I had to go pick up some clothes at home and then went to Blockbuster to rent Lost for us to watch and to the grocery store to pick up "mock cocktail" supplies for our work Yankee Swap Thursday. I brought along a peanut butter z bar which was a good decision - I got hungry soon after I left.
Once I was done with all of the errands, I went back to work and to the gym (Brian and I had one car and he was stuck at work still, so it worked out well that I could use the gym). I ran a good 3 miles on the elliptical and then did my normal arm and ab weight routine: Crossed leg crunches (3 sets of 10 on each side), arm raised push-ups (3 sets of 8 on each side), reverse crunches (3 sets of 15) and bicep/shoulder curls (3 sets of 8 for each exercise at 10 pounds). It felt great.
Afterwards, I went and got Brian and then we headed to his parents' house. He had some leftover pasta and I made myself some scrambled eggs with green pepper and parm along with a whole wheat english muffin toasted with a bit of butter and some salad. I was pretty hungry soon after so I had some raisin bran with low fat milk and banana for dessert.
We ended up watching the Celtics game against the Hawks which was really exciting! The Celts won though which makes their record 24-2!! Wow, they're awesome. :) We got an episode of Lost in before I started falling asleep. All in all, a good night!
