One More Down...

Six days to go until home for Thanksgiving! I headed out to the gym after another trying day at work. Poor Brian is having the same frustrated feelings but because he's way too busy instead of not busy enough. I guess I should be thankful?

Anyway, when I was done with work, I went to the gym. It was even colder today than yesterday (felt like 22 degrees out there!) so I decided to run on the treadmill (eek). I did three miles - starting at an 8:30 pace for the first mile, 8:00 pace for the second mile, 7:30 pace for the third first half mile and then 8:15 for the last half mile. I felt pretty good but my legs seemed pretty tired and I had a hard time getting used to running on the treadmill again. After the treadmill, I did 15 minutes on the stairclimber at level 7 interval mode. I did some abs and push ups also.

Once I was done with my workout I was pretty hungry and had a fun sized bag of peanut m&ms while perusing the grocery store. I picked up a sweet potato, broccoli, instant brown rice, z bars, cereal, hummus, english muffins and cottage cheese (all the essentials). Oh, and bananas and apples. :)

I made a variation of the sweet potato, broccoli, peanut sauce stir fry - instead of edamame I used black beans. They were really good in there and added another burst of bright color to it.
I also made some pumpkin oatmeal to bring to work for breakfast tomorrow. I'm excited about how it will get all thick and yummy overnight. :)

I'm probably going to make myself some dessert oatmeal with milk and honey before bed. MMM...

I'm off to read some more Ender's Game and relax! Have a good night!

Added: I made some more oatmeal for dessert and had it with a bit of milk, honey, and some semi-sweet chocolate chips. MMMM...
