A Night with My Boy

When I got to the gym last night I was feeling a strong urge to go outside and run so although I had plans to use the cardio machines, I decided to "run with" my urge. :) It was pretty warm out so it was a nice change from the past weekend! I did my normal 4.2 loop but started early so I'm going to say it was 4.3 miles. :) I felt pretty good but wasn't pushing it too hard. I finished in about 34:15.

Once I got back I did 15 minutes on the rowing machine and then ran out of there to pack my stuff for the trip to my parents' house and then pick up Brian at the mechanic's. His check engine light is on (again) so we dropped it off, but not before he went grocery shopping and picked up some food to make dinner for me. It ended up being so pretty and I meant to take a picture but was so focused on eating that I forgot. He bought fresh nasoba noodles and stir fried some broccoli, red pepper, onion, a can of chinese vegetables, tofu, egg, along with honey soy sauce. It was SO GOOD. :)

For dessert I decided to make us some apple crisp in the microwave (the easy way). I peeled and chopped two granny smith apples and then put them in two bowls with a tiny amount of butter, a good amount of splenda brown sugar and some oats. I then nuked it for about 5 minutes until there was a nice apple-y, sugary sauce in the bottom. While the apples were still hot, I spooned on some cappucino chip frozen yogurt. DELISH!
